If I had to guess, I'd say the key thing here is "created position just for Dan," which sounds like a figurehead or marketing tool more than anything else. This begs the question... If the position was created just for Dan, why bother searching for a replacement? Why not just dissolve the position again?
Dan realized this was not the right thing for him and he was not going to give it 100% so why do it? What bothers me is; Huezinga said he wanted to bring in someone w/ a fresh perspective. If thats the case, why didn't they hire Mueller or Savage as GM?
