"Video game maker 2K Sports has signed its first NBA team sponsorship deal with the Charlotte Bobcats, an agreement that comes as the company features Bobcats owner Michael Jordan on the cover of its upcoming "NBA 2K11" game. Financial terms of the one-year deal were not disclosed, but the agreement gives 2K Sports signage inside Time Warner Cable Arena, promotion during Bobcats home games, digital presence on Bobcats.com, and product placement inside the Bobcats' team store. In addition, 2K Sports will hold its "NBA 2K11" release during the Bobcats home opener this fall and the video game will be sampled at the arena and promoted on the team's LED boards and scoreboard. In early June, 2K Sports made Jordan the first former NBA player and the first team owner to be featured on the cover of a 2K video game.
