A quote from the forums on the liverpool site

There's another post suggesting that Jay Spearing's partner said it was because liverpool rejected an £19m bid for him, which I personally don't think is good enough.

Without Mascherano or Gerrard in the midfield, I can't see us winning this one :( Although Torres is playing...

And the formation, but he got the important one, Mascherano, correct. Surprised and disappointed to see Agger at left back, although it may be Roy's way of saying he's trying to buy someone new... hopefully

You don't like Agger? My friend loves him.

I think he's a fantastic centre back, the key word there being centre, he isn't a left back, and we have Aurelio fit and available.

Carragher's not as good as Agger or Skrtel, but some of the fans would have a heart attack if he was dropped, purely because he's from Liverpool, and what he's done for the club

Exactly, Jovanic is doing next to nothing whether we have the ball or not, but we're coming into the game more

All I'm saying is that I've watched every Liverpool game since Gerrard hit the big time, and before that, and can remember him diving about thrice.
