"The Detroit Red Wings have trimmed 10 players from their training camp roster, releasing two players who were on professional tryouts, including veteran forward Aaron Downey, and assigning eight others to the AHL Grand Rapids Griffins.

Downey, a 36-year-old enforcer, was hoping to make a comeback after being out of hockey last season. He in appeared in two preseason games but sustained a mild concussion in the latter, Saturday in Chicago."
