It suddenly struck me: this would be perfect. He recruits other stars to win further championships, and takes a paycut to do so. But he and LeBron obviously aren't working together too well. And good as Wade is, James is better. So if Riley really is a cold-blooded bastard with balls of steel, he should trade Wade. Trouble is, who for? A top flight defender at PG who can knock down shots and a really good defensive big would be ideal, but I'm not sure who's got that to offer. Maybe NJ would offer Harris + Lopez?

One thing though: that would make the Heat even more hated. And even if it was all Pat Riley's idea, nobody would believe that LeBron didn't force Wade out. That would be kind of awesome.

All of Miami's Big 3 have no trade clauses in their contracts.

The only way Wade gets traded is if he wants to be.

I thought they took no trade clauses out of contracts in the latest CBA
so only Kobe had one, because he was grandfathered in on his contract or something

Actually my understanding is they all had trade kickers, but not no-trade clauses. Not that it matters. No way the Heat would do this anytime soon. Maybe in a few years if they are struggling then.

I thought about offering Wade for Chris Paul, before the year started. I thought it would be a better fit and NO was desperate.

Yeah, no chance of that happening anymore.

Wade has lost some explosion and is 2-3 years older than Paul. But I think you've got a point, I think that if they trade him, it'll be to the west.

Well at least you can have one guy rested, and the other attacking aggressively. 48 minutes of that isn't bad, there's ways to get around the stylistic issues. A little more time has helped Bosh's game, I think it'll help James/Wade too.

Realistically speaking, what do you expect the Heat to get for Wade?

Well I don't think they could get Paul anymore, he's just been too good. Not Durant cause he's so young.

Orlando is probably in love with Howard.

A lot of the Superstars are ruled out, maybe a second tier guy like Deron Williams.
