As my family was walking into the RG last night, a PR guy for the Blazers asked my girls (5 and 7) if they wanted to do Courtside Kids. We said YES, of course, and they went down on the court before the game. For anybody there, if you watched the big screen during it, my 5 year-old was the smiling curly-haired kid with the "JOY" shirt and Santa skirt they had close-up on the screen for most of the time, as they put her at the very end of the line and she was by far the youngest 'Kid' last night.

Very cool. They'll remember it forever. I know people don't like those type of cheesey things, but when it happens to your kids, you understand why they do it.

Very cool. My sons have done it once and thought it was awesome. They talked about it for weeks.

Hey, it was cool. Some people in our section recognized my girls, and especially my youngest, from the Courtside Kids thing.

The neighborhood boys were all jealous of them today after hearing their dad tell the story. :)

Some photos from the Blazers which we can get online. Plus, they got to sit on the Blazer bench for 5 minutes from the 14:00 to 9:00 mark while the team warmed up. I was jealous of them. :)

Right on. I remember when I was working at the RG how stoked kids were to be able to form the line and high-five the Blazers.

I'm not the biggest proponent of "feel good" acts by a team, but if it comes at no real cost to the team or the fan experience... why not? It paid you back, as a Blazers fan, and it will be one of the cool things that your children will have to remember from their childhood.

I'm glad that they (and you!) got such a great experience :)
