Reports of talks mean these are likely dead or dormant, but if the Blazers could obtain the following offers, which do you prefer?

Andre Miller, Rudy Fernandez, NO 1st for Devin Harris

Andre Miller & Marcus Camby for Gerald Wallace, DJ Augistin and Diop

I prefer Harris to Crash, but am not a huge fan of either of those two specific deals. In the Crash deal, I hate moving Camby, and would prefer it to be Joel, if they want expirings mainly. In the first, if they need to move Harris to make space for Carmelo, and need a little help in facilitating a three team trade, then I'm keeping Rudy and my first. Maybe I'd take Balkman from Denver, and save them his salary instead.

Trade #2 definitely not...it weakens our PG and C positions and doesnt improve SF enough to justify.

Trade #1 the price is a little steep, I'd do it without the pick involved. Pretty fair trade for both teams. Especially when you consider the fact that we don't know what the hell Rudy is gonna do next summer.

I would prefer to have Harris as I think he's a bigger need than Wallace and, I think, less injury prone.

#1 because Harris is more durable and point guard is much more of a need in the wake of a Miller trade than small forward. I think Harris fits better with Matthews and Batum than does Wallace.

Devin shoots 30.2 % from 3 pt career wise
Augustin shoots 40.6% and is also 3 inches shorter
Miller shoots just 20.5% career wise from 3

I think if NJ wants Miller to pair with Carmelo we have some leverage. Giving Rudy and NO 1st seems kind of steep

I am leaning towards Crash and the Charlotte deal. I think it gives us more depth and I like Crash's hustle and boarding.

Obviously, Harris since it gets a talented PG who fits age-wise with our core and leaves us with Camby still available to hold down the C spot.

I'm quite amazed that people view adding the first round pick and Fernandez as steep for Harris, who's been extremely productive the last few years and is decently young (young prime). Fernandez is decent but not an impact player and the first round pick is something like top-ten protected so not an impact selection.

I think Rudy is trying to play good soldier, but I strongly doubt that any of the issues he had over the summer have been completely resolved. I'm just happy that he's starting to play pretty good because it means he actually does have some trade value. Secondly, I suppose you might pencil in Eliot Williams as the backup 2 guard.

It's a pittance if it means getting a player of Harris' caliber.

I think Roy can be a solid backup shooting guard. His play is tremendously disappointing for a starter who was supposed to be the go-to guy, but would be okay off the bench.

Sure ... I guess it also depends on how many games you think he'll play per year too. Regardless, we're staring down the barrel of a lockout; backup shooting guard concerns really ought not to influence trading Rudy.

I wouldn't mind keeping Miller around (I know he won't last but the improvements in the games of Aldridge, Matthews, and Rudy might with confidence), and trading Roy (I know it's a long shot).

Things really aren't going well with Rip in Detroit, perhaps there'd be a chance there. Roy might work well with Gordon or Stuckey (been talked about for a while).

Maybe they'd be more enticed if Pryzbilla and Maxiell were added?

    Past 3 seasons games played:

    Harris: 64, 69, 64
    Wallace: 76, 71, 62

I think Wallace plays quite a bit of PF for the Bobcats. Is that right? I know he averaged 10 boards a game last year. I would assume if that deal went down that LMA would be our 5 and Crash our 4.

BTW my pick is the Crash deal.

I agree with this, although I'm more homerish on Miller than most thinking he isn't going to decline to steeply. Problem is I don't think many (any?) teams are really interested in Roy. I do hate seeing Miller shipped out though.

Hmm, thanks for the facts, I didn't realize that Harris had missed so much time. That's a bit concerning.
