Clown Town
"All the way back to that May evening in 2007, when the Rookie of the Year stepped onto a Secaucus stage and brought back the No. 1 pick, Brandon Roy never lost sight of the truth. Maybe Oden, the glum center, will become a ferocious force for the Blazers, but the most improbable truth of that draft lottery turned out to be this: Before those ping-pong balls ever bounced Portland’s way, the Blazers already had themselves a franchise player."

Good Enough for my Own Shoe
I've watched McCamey play. Love him and want him. And the most consistent comparison I have seen and heard for him, and sure it might be because of the school, is Deron Williams. Hope he stay smid to low first so we can grab him, but he'll move up.
Pretty sure POR has interest in him, before he pulled out of the draft last year, he was scheduled to come to POR for a workout....
He'd be a good Steve Blake type to compliment Roy's superstar talents.

Anyhoo, about Fredette, if he wasn't a white Mormon, I think people might be comparing him to an Eric Gordon with a better handle, but with less athleticism.
If he tests well at the NBA Combine, I think he'll go in the lottery. The guy is a natural scorer, and he can get to the rim, at least in college.

Would you guys take him over Kemba?
Much less athleticism. Gordon is a tremendous athlete while Fredette would be way below average for the NBA. While athleticism is far from everything, it's a big deal in terms of translating skills from college to the NBA. The average NBA player is an order of magnitude higher in athleticism than the average college player, so with poor athleticism, it's much, much harder to get your shot off, drive past your man (either to attack the hoop or create for others) or stay in front of your man on defense. It impacts everything.
So I would say the far worse athleticism makes him completely unlike Gordon. A better handle doesn't make up for it when you can't get past a defender.

"In the end it all comes down to talent. You can talk all you want about intangibles, I just don't know what that means. Talent makes winners, not intangibles. Can nice guys win? Sure, nice guys can win - if they're nice guys with a lot of talent. Nice guys with a little talent finish fourth and nice guys with no talent finish last." -- Sandy Koufax

Stalk me on my blog.
Ummm ... no. I'm no great fan of Kemba, but he's at least got NBA level quickness. Fredette may be more skilled and a more 'electric' college player, but I would give Kemba a slight edge in being able to translate his particular skill-set to the next level. Having said that I think both are likely to struggle at the next level.
