    His comments regarding the Arizona shooting were so far over the top in hatred that I think the backlash may have cost him his job. He's an odd duck. His hatred seems more genuine than most other media types who seem to go thru the motions of a position they have to hang with for the sake of ratings.

    I can't think of a more hateful person on TV. (Worst Person in the World???)

    I'm sure he'll be fine, since GE/NBC gave him $30 million to spew his brand of hatred. Comcast at least seems to have the sense to rid themselves of this hatemonger.

    A spokesman said Phil Griffin, MSNBC's president, would not comment on Olbermann's exit. Spokesman Jeremy Gaines would say only that the acquisition of NBC Universal by Comcast, which received regulatory approval this week, had nothing to do with the decision.
