Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville was admitted to a hospital Wednesday morning after being taken to the emergency room a night earlier night with an "undisclosed health concern."

"Joel presented severe discomfort late last night at his home in suburban Chicago," Blackhawks team physician Michael Terry said in a statement. "He went to the emergency room and was admitted early this morning.

"He is currently in stable condition and is being treated for an undisclosed health concern today, not of cardiac nature. Further testing is ongoing and we will provide an update when possible."

Assistant coach Mike Haviland will control the forwards Wednesday night when the Blackhawks host the Minnesota Wild while Mike Kitchen will run the defense.

"Anytime you hear someone is in the hospital it's definitely scary news, but hopefully we can go out there and get a win for him tonight and hopefully make him happy wherever he is," Hawks winger Patrick Kane said.

Sounds like Q is feeling better. He had some internal bleeding but its better not. He hopes to be back out coaching by the next game.
