Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville was released from the hospital on Saturday, the team announced.

"Joel was released from the hospital today and is resting comfortably at home," Blackhawks head team physician Dr. Michael Terry said in a statement. "We will continue to monitor him and still anticipate a full recovery. We are working to determine when it is best for him to return to his coaching duties."

The Blackhawks' next game is Sunday against Pittsburgh. Assistant Mike Haviland has been coaching the team.

The 52-year-old Quenneville, who was admitted on Wednesday morning, received treatment for gastrointestinal bleeding caused by a small ulcer. He had gone to the emergency room the previous night.

The Blackhawks coach missed Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Minnesota Wild and Friday's 4-3 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
