Couldn't find a generic thread for games, so I decided to just list off the games I'm waiting for that I have preordered: Bulletstorm (Picking it up on Friday) Brink Rage Mortal Kombat Duke Nuke'em Batman: Arkham City Bioshock: Infinite Recently got Marvel vs Capcom 3. And today I finished platinuming Dead Space 2, now I just gotta wait for the new DLC: Dead Space: Severed. Need to spend some time beating Extraction also. All of these are on the PS3, so if you guys ever wanna add me, feel free. My PSN is ToFuSmurF. Just let me know who you are when you add
Everything I want comes out later in the year. Right now the closest is Crysis 2 for the 360. Mass Effect 3, Gears of War 3 and Elder Scrolls Skyrim are the others I want.
I'm definitely going to be putting Bring, Rage, MK, and Bioshock on my preorders eventually (though Bioshock doesn't come out until 2012, sadly). The others that'll be getting preordered by me at some point in the near future will also be Elder Scrolls V, Mass Effect 3, and Uncharted 3.
Just put Brink, Mass Effect 3, Mortal Kombat, Rage, and Elder Scrolls V on reserve yesterday while picking up Dead Space 2 and Bulletstorm. Haven't played Dead Space 2 yet, but Bulletstorm is fucking awesome.
Bulletstorm is hilarious, some of the best one-liners and names. A little overboard at times with the cursing, but who cares lol SAUSAGE FEST! Alot of trophies to go thru, the longest one being the Anarchy mode one where you have to get to Level 65. Ugh! Dead Space 2 is amazing, I love Dead Space and the DLC is supposed to come out today (March 1st).
whats the deal with pre-orders? do places make money off of them? is it $5 that goes towards your game or $5 to make sure you get it on the first day but you still gotta pay full price?
At Gamestop you can put $5 to preorder a game (if you put $10 and specify you are preordering a collector's edition, that's fine too), that $5 is off the total price, so if a game costed $59.99, when you pick up the game, you are only paying $54.99. The cool thing about preorders is the extra stuff you may get with your game or midnight launches (like for Fallout: New Vegas, the Obsidian crew signed your free poster and anything else you want signed). It doesn't cost the companies extra to do so, and if anything it basically pegs you to have to buy the game there.
Just beat Bulletstorm. Hell of an awesome game. I came in expecting to only want to play it for the action, but the story was goddamn fantastic. A lot of likable characters and some great plot twists along the way. Plus it left it open for a sequel, which is all sorts of fine by me. Now, onto Dead Space 2.
Oh my god, the game had me fucking rolling with some of the dialogue in the game. It was seriously one of the funniest games I've played in a while. I'll be starting Dead Space 2 right soon. Is the DLC an extension of the story, or how is that going to work?
