For the time being the UFC is letting Strikeforce operate independently as they had before. DFW says there will be no co-promotion and no fights between UFC and Strikeforce fighters. As far as I can tell this is all a "for the time being" arrangement. Eventually it will all be UFC. Supposing the UFC and Stikeforce fighters were ready to fight each other today, what bouts would you like to see most?

Fedor/Couture, just because its been talked about for so long.

Nick Diaz/Carlos Condit, I know Diaz/GSP might be the obvious choice but I think Condit would make this fight way more exciting.

A HW tourney SF vs UFC style, basically putting SF's strongest division against UFC's HWs to see who's got the best fighters in that division.

Diaz/GSP. Diaz/Condit sounds fun too though. There are tons of great matchups in that division though.

Melendez/any lightweight. Really wanna see how he stacks up against Edgar, Maynard, Pettis, etc.

Fedor/Couture sounds great. Not sure how Fedor would fare against Brock. Obviously hes got striking/armbars in his favor but Brock can wrestle and sit on him. At this point I think Cain would wreck Fedor, sadly.

Hendo/Shogun belt unification would be sweet. Or Hendo/Jon Jones. Hendo has never fought Rashad, Machida, T. Silva, Couture either. Throw Moussassi, King Mo, and Feijao into that division as well and you've got a lot of fresh, intriguing matchups.

Overeem/Cain would be somewhat interesting. Cain would handle him easily with the wrestling though. After that Overeem/JDS, Overeem/Carwin. Bigfoot Silva/Mir, Bigfoot Silva/Brock.

    Daley/Thiago Alves, Daley/Condit, Daley/D. Sanchez.

How about BJ Penn vs. Nick Diaz at 170? :smiley-drool:

Bigfoot Silva says he wants to fight Brock.

Apparently King Mo and Rampage have a history of hating one another. Me thinks it'd be a King Mo wrestle-fest just like his buddy Rashad did to Page.

I'm not too familiar with Strikeforece. Some of these might be washes but based on what I've seen.

    Mousasi/Jones
    King Mo/Rashad
    Overeem/Carwin or Lesnar
    Jacare/Maia
    Fedor/Randy
    Hendo/Silva 2

Resign Kimbo and have him fight Herschel Walker. ;)

    Good suggestions, guys.

A writer at bloodyelbow is suggesting that Nick Diaz and Jason Miller coach the next season of TUF. That would be wildly uncomfortable.

A: there'd be a fight between the two coaches for sure, hell it'd probably be a gang fight between the Diaz's (and Gil Melendez) and Miller and his coaches.
B: I'd have to mute the TV because I wouldn't want to listen to the constant beeping whenever Diaz spoke.
C: It'd be great because there's a 70% chance Diaz would say 'beep' it, I quit. Because he couldn't stand having a camera in his face all the time.
