Jake Allen stopped all 28 San Antonio shots for his sixth shutout of the year and a 2-0 Peoria win Saturday night at Carver Arena in front of the second biggest crowd in team history. A total of 9,531 fans were in attendance Saturday to see Nick Drazenovic's 17th of the year stand up as the game-winner in a key divisional matchup.

The Rivermen (38-28-2-5) are now sitting in a three-way tie for fourth place in the West Division with Chicago (37-27-3-6) and Oklahoma City (36-27-2-9) who all have 83 points.

Drazenovic's goal came at 8:07 of the second period and came off his own rebound. After taking a pass from Derek Nesbitt at the blueline, Drazenovic came bursting between the defense and wristed a shot that was kicked away by Climie. The rebound came right back to Drazenovic and he buried it to the right of Climie.

Dave Scatchard iced it with 20 seconds left in the third with an empty net goal from the red line. It was his seventh of the year from Akim Aliu and Tyson Strachan.

It was the sixth shutout of the season for Allen who is now one back of the league lead in the category. It was the first shutout for Allen - and the Rivermen - since Jan. 1 against Grand Rapids.

Neither team could convert on the man-advantage as San Antonio finished 0-for-5 and Peoria 0-for-2. Matt Climie finished with 23 saves in the loss for San Antonio.

The Rivermen are now 3-3-0 against the Rampage this season and will finish off the season series with a pair of games in San Antonio next weekend.

The Rivermen welcome the Hamilton Bulldogs to Peoria on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. in the final Sunday home game of the year. Kids tickets are available for just $1 and hot dogs, chips and Cokes are available for just $1 from 3-4 p.m. After the game, fans can skate with their favorite Rivermen players on the ice. Tickets are available through www.rivermen.net or by calling 309-676-1040.
