Swashbucklers quarterback Ben McLaughlin's first half was not quite as good as last week's, but it was plenty good enough as the Swashbucklers won their third straight game, 70-38 over the Abilene Rough Riders. Last week, McLaughlin tied the Southern Indoor Football League record with nine touchdown passes, including seven in the first half. Against Abilene he picked up where he left off, throwing four touchdown passes in the first half. The final three came on his last three attempts of the half, with strikes of five and 40 yards to Marcus Wilridge and 15 yards to Sammy Knight, who also scored on a 28-yard pass in the first quarter.
