Kyle Lohse allowed just two hits in throwing his second shutout as a Cardinal, as the Redbirds blanked the Nationals 5-0 on Thursday afternoon. Matt Holliday hit a two-run homer in the first and Albert Pujols hit a two-run homer in the eighth for the Cardinals. The Cardinals got just six hits off four Washington pitchers; three of the Cardinals who scored reached base on walks.
