The pinwheel shaped hole in my heart was not filled by this win, however it was entertaining to watch in between beers at Lompoc.

I just don't get soccer and never will.

Seriously, the national scope doesn't give two fucks about soccer. Not sure anyone even knows who won the last MLS cup or whatever you call it.

Go to a game down there and take in the atmosphere. It was great tonight!

Atmosphere doesn't make soccer itself more entertaining.

The atmosphere may make attending the game more entertaining, but it doesn't make the sport itself more entertaining. Of course this is my opinion. I have not been to a Timbers game but I've been to soccer games before.

there are times when I have to stop and think about who won the World Series in certain years, but I'm a baseball fan.

I found myself more entertained by Timbers games than Blazers games. I do a lot of fast forwarding during Blazer games, but never during soccer. I understand some people don't get into it, but on a world stage soccer is so much bigger than American football baseball or basketball it is just silly. Right now soccer is the only sport I watch if there are two teams playing I don't really care about.

I don,t think soccer will ever be bigger than the big 3 in the US, but I still like it.

I've been completely converted. I love the Timbers experience and I'm really starting to appreciate and understand the game. It's super fun. Great win last night.

I still hold a grudge against soccer for bringing flopping Euros to the NBA. And yes, I know we have one of them (two if you count Nic, but I don't think he's too bad.)
