Re: UFC 133: Evans vs. Davis (Aug. 6th) Fukuda has injured his knee in an automobile accident and is off this card. Replacement being sought.
Re: UFC 133: Evans vs. Davis (Aug. 6th) Cyprus' second-most famous fighter, Constantinos Philippou, replaces Fukuda.
Re: UFC 133: Evans vs. Machida II (Aug. 6th) Am I the only one that think this card just got better? I fully expect Machida/Evans to fight the winner of Rampage/Jones. I expect the match up to be Jones vs Machida.
Re: UFC 133: Evans vs. Machida II (Aug. 6th) You're definitely not the only one. Phil Davis wasn't that impressive in his last outing and it definitely just became a title eliminator type of fight. Machida whooped Rashad's ass pretty good last fight but that was when Rashad had totally abandoned wrestling and Machida hadn't been beaten. I expect a lay and pray session from Rashad.
Re: UFC 133: Evans vs. Machida II (Aug. 6th) Now there are reports that Machida isn't going to accept this fight. Hmm...
Re: UFC 133: Evans vs. Machida II (Aug. 6th) Tito Ortiz turned down the fight originally, but now he is reconsidering it.
Re: UFC 133: Evans vs. Machida II (Aug. 6th) Interesting. Machida beat the piss out of Rashad before so maybe hes saying there's no reason for a re-match. He knows Rashad wants to wrestle him. Or maybe hes holding out for Dana to guarantee the winner gets the next title shot. Seems like a great opportunity for Tito. He just fought a few weeks ago though so hes probably way out of shape and he'd have to cram a VERY short training camp in. Took Rashad to a draw but only after he got a point deducted. Its a pretty good match up stylistically for him and beating Bader and Rashad consecutively would miraculously put him back in the title picture. I think the biggest thing for both fighters is that the fight is only 3 weeks away.
Re: UFC 133: Evans vs. Ortiz II (Aug. 6th) Ortiz back in a main event? This card should sell very well.
Re: UFC 133: Evans vs. Ortiz II (Aug. 6th) tito probably got a promise from dana that if he loses he gets another fight.
Re: UFC 133: Evans vs. Ortiz II (Aug. 6th) 185lbs. Jorge "El Conquistador" Rivera vs. Alessio "Legionarius" Sakara ^^^ Douche Bag of the year fight here. Both these guys are fucking turds. And GO TITO!!!!!
Re: UFC 133: Evans vs. Ortiz II (Aug. 6th) Tito fans calling other fighters turds and douches, lol wut
Re: UFC 133: Evans vs. Ortiz II (Aug. 6th) Franklin was offered Gustafsson and turned down the fight. DFW claims Franklin is only interested in fighting top names. Doesn't want to be a gatekeeper for young guys--who can blame him?
Re: UFC 133: Evans vs. Ortiz 2 (Aug. 6th) I think Franklin deserves one more fair shot at making a run for a title shot @ LHW. He's done a lot for the UFC--they owe him big name fights.
Re: UFC 133: Evans vs. Ortiz 2 (Aug. 6th) Lyoto Machida wants "Anderson Silva money". Try not losing two of three (three of four unofficially)?
Re: UFC 133: Evans vs. Ortiz 2 (Aug. 6th) Curious to see how Mike Pyle deals with Rory MacDonald. Does he put the young kid down like he did with Hathaway, or is MacDonald too technical?
