Couturier at 8 is a great pick for the Flyers, I think he's going to end up being a pretty good two way guy in the league if he can improve his skating, when I saw a few games from the world juniors he didn't seem that smooth. Ryan Murphy seems like a good pick at 12 for carolina too. I haven't really seen him play but he's a pretty highly regarded offensive defenseman. I wish that RNH went to a different team, I want to cheer for him but he's going to be playing for the Oilers....ewww.

It seems like the Blackhawks are still feeling some pressure against the cap. Trading Brain Campbell was mainly so they can resign Sharp and Troy Brouwer is set to become a free agent so they probably knew they weren't going to be able to sign him.

It seems like the Blackhawks are still feeling some pressure against the cap. Trading Brain Campbell was mainly so they can resign Sharp and Troy Brouwer is set to become a free agent so they probably knew they weren't going to be able to sign him.

Letting Brouw go wasn't the end, he was well liked but if he played better last season he would of defiantly stayed. Campbell for Olesz makes me question a bit, I don't know much about Olesz, but he is a good replacment for Jurco, I wanted a Slovakian, got a Czech instead. Campbell's contract was to massive, even though Olesz has a big one himself.

Extending Sharp will be big, and I am excited to see who they trade for next. Since Stan Bowman said he was working on a trade deal.

The wings ended up getting Jurco, He'll probably end up being a stud for them in the future.
