Arsene Wenger subject of UEFA probe

UEFA has started disciplinary proceedings against Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger for breaching the terms of his suspension Tuesday.

Wenger was confined to the stands and banned from communicating with the bench during the Champions League qualifying victory against Udinese on Tuesday.

Arsenal believed Wenger was allowed to pass on instructions to assistant Pat Rice through coach Boro Primorac, who sat alongside the manager in the stands.

Re: Wenger set to face more disciplinary action for subverting UEFA's one-match ban

UEFA has given Wenger a two-match ban on the back of his 'actions' at the Udinese game last week. Arsenal plans to appeal.

Wonder if Sky reporters will be running around tattling on him again. IT LOOKS LIKE HES TALKING TO PEOPLE! AND HES WATCHING THE GAME!

Arsenal have made a request to FIFA to delay the two-match ban until after the 2nd leg tie. I doubt they'll accept.

This is bullshit. Every report says that we checked with UEFA, and they gave Wenger the OK to pass message through a third party.

Either we're lying about this, or UEFA gave us the wrong information. Either way it's amateur hour.
