I'm ashamed to say it, but I am rooting for a 1-15 season. We arent gonna make the playoffs, so why not suck it up for one year and get a QB who appears to be a cant miss/franchise player. I wouldn't mind getting Luck at all, but I think this team can win the NFC West again this year. I am not scared of SF, Arizona or StL, and I think that as we get Rice and Miller back to health and productivity that our defense is enough to win us some 17-10 games this year. Super Bowl Contenders? No. But far closer to getting a home playoff game than getting a top-3 pick. Even if we lose all the games we're supposed to, (BAL, PHI, etc) we have the following coming up: Browns, Bengals (home), Rams x2, 49ers at home, Redskins (home)?... If we just win those, we're 7-8 playing Arizona the last game of the season for a playoff spot, imo.
I dont want to be .500 and make the playoffs. It's embarrassing! I'd much rather suck ass this season and maybe next... then have a stud QB who can lead us to some NFC Championship games and Super Bowls for 10 years! That sounds better to me than being mediocre for the next 10 years.
