For the second time in the past year, unbeaten welterweight contender Selcuk Aydin (23-0, 17 KO’s) has defeated “Jo-Jo Dan” Ion (29-2, 16 KO’s) by a 12 round decision. Unlike in their previous fight which ended with Aydin winning by a controversial 12 round split decision in June 2010, Aydin, 28, left no doubts this time by winning a unanimous decision by the scores of 113-112, 113-112 and 115-111.

Aydin knocked Dan down twice in the fight, once in the 1st round and another time in the 11th, and had him hurt. Dan did a good job landing a lot of punches, but he lacked the power and wasn’t able to do enough in the end to get the decision.
