I don't see the point of trading for him. Do we really need another short shooting guard? I guess I'd rather just play Eliot Williams and see if he's worth a damn.

    I don't care that he is a 6-1 SG.

He has the skills to be a great 6th man. Kinda like a young Jason Terry.

I would give up Nolan Smith and Babbit for him. Doubt that's enough.

He's quick, can shoot and plays defense, PLUS we have Batum here to provide a comfort level...

He may never be the star lead guard that people thought he'd be, but he HAS to be interesting to us on some level...

You're sort of making my point for me from above. I guess isn't that sort of the MO attached to Williams?

Surprisingly, Beaubois has upped his AST% every year he's been in the league. He's at a very combo-guard-ish 24.2% right now. Maybe he could get it up to ~28? That would be respectable for a PG.

Well I'm not diametrically opposed to the idea, but I do wonder if this isn't just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. Presumably we'd be giving up more than we're getting back because teams know we're desperate to find a point.

    I'd say yes and no.

I know I don't post enough on this board for people to be avid followers of my ideas, but I mentioned last week that I'd like to see EWill get a shot at the point...

I think there are a few differentiators between the two: Ewill gets the nod for athleticism and is more of a slasher, where Roddy - from what I've seen - is a better defender and long range shooter, perhaps a better ball handler as well...

My point - Roddy isn't Felton (who we KNOW isn't the answer) and has more upside than Nolan Smith... Even if he IS an overlap of EWill, if it doesn't cost a ton to bring him in, why not?

Who cares if he's a SG if he can do this?

SWEET!!! Another guard that can't adjust to playing the point. Why do we need another one of those again?

How about: Nash/CJohnson to Dallas, Odom/Felton to Phx, Frye/Beaubios to PDX.

I know, we'd have no PG, we've been down the Frye road before. Not saying we'd actually do it, but it'd be entertaining. The french connection!

    Crawford/Beaubious
    Felton/Batum
    Wallace/Batum
    Aldridge/Thomas/Smith
    Camby/Frye

Dallas would be making a run at another championship. Rotating Kidd/Nash should keep them both fresh w/o breaking up their core.

Phx would be saving some money (Frye primarily). They'd probably rather move the Childress contract. Not sure this is worth it to them. Perhaps Dallas kicks in a pick? they'd also be tanking for a high pick.

We lose a quarter of our capspace for Beaubois and Frye? WTF.

I'd rather try Ewill out the Rodrigue. If your playing behind one of the all time great PG's and he can't even help you get the hang of the position then your not going to. Ewill has the athleticism and the drive/work ethic to succeed as well as a defensive mind (how many Guards with his type of explosiveness pride themselves on there D?) his court vision isn't any better then Rodrigue nor are his handles but I see (like the homer I am) the drive an ability to improve if given a shot at the PG were all I see in Rodrigue is a combo-guard who isn't going to get any better at the PG position.

If he could do this with any regularity he wouldn't be on the trading block.
