A rare triple-double was all well and good for Joakim Noah. More important for him was this: the Bulls got another big win. Noah had 13 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists for the first triple-double by a Bulls center in roughly 35 years, and Chicago pounded the Milwaukee Bucks 110-91 on Wednesday night.
I was happy for Joakim. Seeing his post-game interview, he was kind of excited about it. More important for the Bulls is that Noah's clearly turned the corner after a bad start this season. Rose is clearly the Bulls superstar and Deng may be the glue, but Noah's the heart and energy source. He's my favorite NBA player. Keep it up, kid.
It's amazing to think that sportsradio was calling for Noah's head like three weeks ago. I'm so looking forward to a Bulls-Heat series that I can't explain it. This has the possibility of being one of the best playoff series in NBA history.
I'm relieved that the Boozer/Noah issue seems to be working itself out. In the long run, how can you win a championship if your starting frontcourt can't have good games together? They've both had a good February.
I can't imagine what would happen if we actually did lose two in a row... And yes, so happy to see Joakim with his mojo back. Loving the assists from him and Luol. Go Bulls!
