I think this kid is gonna razzle dazzle us the rest of the season. I suspect he may even be the new fan favorite. And P.S. Blazer fans.... Please don't chant his name. Seems like a curse that will immediately get the player traded.
Great point! If you look closely at the photos in his sig, you can pretty clearly tell they've been photoshop'ed. Mags doesn't exist; he's just Eric's other personality! Hilarity. Both of you fools repped.
This is such an obvious fake, and look who is in the photo. Yep, KingSpeed, just to try and throw us all off of his trail. I do like how he also pasted "Mags's" girlfriend's head in this photo! Very clever, KingSpeed, and well played.
is it johnny or jonny? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Flynn http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonny_Flynn
I never jumped off the Flynn bandwagon after the '09 draft. Kid was a stud at Syracuse and wrongfully plopped into the worst possible system for his game. After 3 years of misuse I'm not holding my breath that he's salvageable to the point of becoming the star I thought he could be, but he's still young and athletic enough to carve out a nice niche in the league.
You'd like him to razzle your dazzle!! Joking aside, I said when we acquired him that I was super-stoked. I was in Minnesota for 10 days or so back when he was a rookie. Went to 3 games, and I remember being impressed. He was a 20-year old rookie running the point. I couldn't believe Minnesota had him (and they knew they'd also eventually get Rubio to come over). As a Blazers fan, I've long wanted a young, talented PG on our roster. And I was shocked Minnesota owned a few young PG's packed with potential, so I was quite annoyed, because I feel like we haven't had stability at PG in a long time. Can't say whether or not he'll be back next year. Can't say if that hip injury caused a short, temporary downward-trend in his career (hip injuries do take some time to bounce-back from), or if his career potential has been derailed. But I am certainly excited that he's here, and hope we get to see what he does have!
Well if he plays well, I can see our ball club resign him. But I don't want him to do too well, so we aren't raped!
Interesting with a coaches dnp tonight against the lakers. What gives? Especially with the way Felton was playing tonight.
He's just not a very good player. The Wolves learned that and then the Rockets knew it and presumably the Blazers knew it before they acquired him. Ed O.
People are all talking about trying out the new/young guys. While being blind to the fact, or even possibility, that the Blazers are actually testing out Felton, to see if they should keep him. Yes, they actually believe he could be an Answer. Hard to imagine with your limited view isn't it? Well they're actually looking to see if he could possibily capitalize on his athletic ability, which is just like Dre, a strong body PG that can throw his body around and be sturdy enough to play for a long time. Plus, he's the best match with LA we have for miles, if Ray would actually pass him the ball consistently, they could actually make a solid duo. And, its not like were bringing back Miller anytime soon, unfortunately.
You think so? Personally the short stints I saw him in the last couple games; he looked pretty damn good to me. In Minny, he still had pretty decent stats; then his injury screwed him up. In Houston, he was buried under two very good PGs. We don't have that problem here. Is he that much worse than Nolan Smith? I really don't think so. I think something else is up.
Nolan Smith is the front office's guy. They overextended in drafting him in the 1st round so they want to play him. There were rumors that they weren't happy with Nate not playing Smith enough minutes. I'm 100% confident that Flynn is better than Smith.
