He totally sandbagged it with the Mavs.

If Stern had any backbone he'd make it as hard as possible to play back in L.A.

True but I think there is a lot more to this than depression.

He's being paid a fair amount of money and he totally quit on the Mavs.

His wife and the reality show has a lot to do with this. His career has such a short window I think 2-3 years in Dallas is no big deal. At least, it shouldn't have.

The way Lamar just totally dropped off being significant in the NBA after an event reminds me of Tiger Woods.

I don't understand it, but this game obviously is very much mental.

see, i dont think so, clearly his heart isnt in it anymore

him leaving la clearly had alot to do with that as well as all the other shit hes been through

not making excuses for him, the guy should have just retired rather than steal 9 million dollars

Dallas let Chandler go, assuming Odom would replace him. When Dallas crashes in the playoffs, blame Odom.

The Lakers are terribly-managed by the dental family, full of basket cases like Peace and Bynum. You don't like the Vulcans? Imagine if they were siblings. We have it good.

The Lakers still have the 5th best record in the league and Kobe/Pau/Bynum could do some damage in the playoffs. They were obviously deeper with Odom, and I'm not sure why they traded him other than bad attitude.

Sure it must be great being rich and living in LA, but Dallas seemed like a near perfect situation for him. That team has a few aged veterans with enough gas in the tank to have good games. As a team, their depth and quality of that depth won them a title last season. Odom, on paper, should have been a key reserve for them. And Cuban is a players' type owner - a guy he should have loved to play for.

You say you don't know why they traded him, then you give reasons for why he's crazy.

I'm saying the Laker team and owner family have more like him. When the GM job became a figurehead, West gave it to the puppet Kupchak. How many big trades or acquisitions have happened there since? It was dead even before West left.

The Lakers are a dead ghoul living off the life energy of one living person, Kobe Bryant. They need a new owner.

The conspirator inside of me wonders if this is Odom's way of helping his buddy Kobe get another ring . . .
