Sounds like a similar deal to what we gave Lin. Bazemore won the Lefty Driesell Award for the best defensive player in Division 1 hoops in 2011. Also won the CAA DPY twice in a row. Once Klay was shut down he was inserted into the starting unit of our SL team and did well.

    Some highlights:

Kind of surprising he went undrafted. Hes got no NBA quality skills on offense, but his athleticism jumps off the screen and he seems like hes on another level defensively from his peers. Has a chance to become a Tony Allen or Dahntay Jones kind of guy.

Nice block on Kareem's patented skyhook by the stilt.

Actually, judging by the video his offensive skills look decent. I mean he shoots, he can drive left and right, and he finishes in a variety of ways. Very simple offensive moves, but he gets the job done as a contributor. He looks more like a take-it-to-the-rack kind of guy and what's cool is he doesn't try to dunk everything. Now there's no video showing his lowlights, but I'm sure he's got inconsistencies or situations where he might get blocked or make the wrong decision or he loses the ball. He could be a well rounded player. Tony Allen / Dahntay Jones might not be a bad comparison. We sure could use a potential defensive stopper at the 2/3 position that can score a little bit.

From what little I saw of him in SL, he likes that mid-range J at the FT line (you can see him hit a few in those highlights) and he gets to the rim opportunistically. Handle isn't awful, but hes not going to be blowing past defenders one on one any time soon. Highlight vids suggest he may be a good finisher at the rim.

In his soph, Jr, and Sr years his ast/TO numbers were 3.4/2.1, 2.9/2.4, and 3.1/3.2. His FG% in those years was 49%, 48%, and 41%. Definitely got more efficient as he grew into being his team's leading creator, but 3 apg is rather good for a wing player. His Sr. year was very inefficient, but he was his teams leading shot taker by far and he won't be forcing any offense in the NBA.

Really intriguing package of athleticism and skills. Can't get your hopes up too much with a UDFA but man he looks talented based on those highlights. If he does develop into a Allen, D. Jones, or maybe Avery Bradley (less handles) he'd be perfect behind Curry and Klay.

Turnover rates are kind of hard to judge sometimes because what happens if your teammates are not making crisp cuts to where the ball is supposed to be delivered or what happens if you don't catch a bad pass cleanly and the defender strips the ball away? What happens if turnovers are tied to high usage rates/number of possessions a player is holding the ball. Also, the entire team could just have terrible spacing or the player is an attack-the-paint kind of guy meaning they are more prone to getting trapped or have the ball knocked loose. I guess we gotta witness all the possessions and look at the context.

If you look at guys like Allen Iverson, Corey Maggette, Jeremy Lin, the reason they get high turnovers is they have the ball in their hands (a lot) and they like to go to the hole (a lot). It's not so much a product of bad ballhandling or decision-making. It's higher risk because there is less spacing.
