Tiger-Cats Sign Four to Practice Roster

    The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that import defensive back Brock Campbell, import defensive end Bruce Davis, import defensive tackle Louis Ellis and import running back Brandon Rutley have been added to the team's practice roster.
    Campbell, a 6-2, 218-pound native of Cherokee, Iowa, made 110 tackles and three interceptions during his four-year collegiate career at South Dakota State.

    Davis, a 6-3, 250-pound native of Los Angeles, California, was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round (88th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft after finishing his stellar NCAA career at UCLA. Davis has also suited up with the New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders and Cincinnati Bengals.

    Ellis, a 6-2, 320-pound native of Jackson, Mississippi, spent time with the NFL's Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers as well as the UFL's New York Sentinals and Arena Football League's Georgia Force after earning back-to-back CIAA Defensive Player of the Year honours at Shaw University. Ellis made 129 tackles, 43 tackles for a loss and 16 quarterback sacks in two seasons at Shaw.

    Rutley, a 5-11, 192-pound native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, ran for 1,779 yards and 21 touchdowns while catching 70 passes for 668 yards and one touchdown over four seasons at San Jose State. He was named second-team All-WAC in 2011.

    The Tiger-Cats also announced that the following players have been released:
