Can we extend him now? The guy is playing out of his mind, and I don't think it's going to change. We can't let this guy hit the open market. He's worth a 7 to 8 million per year contract imo.
I think he should get something similar to what Taj Gibson got but I think he's playing himself into a bigger deal.
Right now, Hickson > Aldridge and it's not even close. He's making LMA look bad. Tonight's line (so far) Hickson 19 points off 8-11 shooting and 15 boards. Aldridge 17 points off 5-15 shooting and 8 boards.
he's outplaying quite a few players with near max and max contracts and presumably knows that. no way he signs for 7
And he's only 24. We might not end up with any cap space this summer after all, but I'm okay with that as long as we keep JJ.
The thing I like about Hickson is he is one of those "bring it every night" guys. He just flat out works hard. Neither he nor Matthews may have as much talent as others, but they work their butts off and I very much appreciate that. It is the kind of thing that I also believe rubs off on the rest of the team and they work harder as a group. Gramps...
His agent will let him set his value. I doubt they go for an extension as he's playing himself into a Nic Batum-like contract.
Depends on the agent. We could always hope that the agent is the type to take the bird in the hand over the two in the bush.
I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just curious. We have his bird rights. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
