This is what Max Kellerman said on ESPN Radio. He was talking about the teams between the Lakers and the playoffs. He said the Jazz and Blazers are both looking to make trades (not with each other) that will make them worse.

To be worse this Season to be better next Season. Or that is their theory at least.

Basically means they're looking to deal Hickson. Not something new.

If the Blazers were going for a good pick, why the fuck did they win all of those close games.

Well if true then easy explanation for that. You can't turn off the competitiveness of a team. Coach and players want to win ever game. Management would be the ones trying to put the brakes on in that scenario.

Ya it's just what Haynes said. The Blazers want a young SG for Hickson. That means the Blazers will be very thin up front.
