    Just because.

Oregon will only have 1 or 2 losses next year, one of them will be to Stanford. But Oregon will do just enough to get an at large bid for a BCS bowl, probably the Rose(as Stanford will be playing the title game).

    BCS bowls:

Rose - Oregon(W) vs Ohio State
Fiesta - Okie. State vs SCAR(W)
    Sugar - Alabama vs Louisville(W)
Orange - Notre Dame(W) vs Michigan

Title Game - Stanford(W) vs Clemson

    What are yours?

Orange bowl will have 1 acc school in it so I pick Louisville vs Georgia
    Rose- Stanford vs Michigan
Sugar- "Texas A&M, Bama" vs Sacrificial Lamb?

National Championship I think is in Arizona this year..... Oregon vs OSU

Oregon is bringing back almost everybody in the secondary, our offense may even be stronger and we have a slew of new receivers. Marcus will be more comfortable than last year and he was amazing then! Now throw in Tyner and I see the Ducks being epic this year!

Yeah but we have a new HC, I think us dropping a game or two is a possibility. Stanford is reloading on offense and defense.

Helfrich I think will open the passing offense the way many Duck fans wished Chip would have by utilizing Huff and Colt more! That said the tempo will be the same and the preparation will too so I don't see much if any change or drop in the Ducks effectiveness. Throw in we have a top notch kicker and things may even be better and with Tyner "FASTER"!

We may pass a bit more, but I think we will continue to be a running team.

This can't be emphasized enough. If Wogan is as good as I hope he will be, he will be a major difference-maker for this team. With 13 touchbacks in 109 kickoffs, we had the 6th worst touchback % in the country. Our kick coverage was 70th in the nation, and we allowed the most overall kick return yards of any D1 team. Having a decent kicker could easily mean a difference of 10 yards of field position per opponent starting drive.

I wonder, though, if Helfrich will be as willing to go for it on 4th down as Kelly was. Part of that was demeanor, of course, but that was often by necessity as well; no point in punting from the opposing 30 yard line, but no point in sending Maldonado out for a field goal either. Wogan might make Helfrich much more willing to settle for 3 when Kelly would have routinely attempted to continue the drive.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Quite. Now we have a legit kicker, we'll win some games we should not lose.
