Let's see your best attempt at wealth distribution in America, without breaking our civil rights. Also, keep in mind that in a socialistic country, the Doctor who must have at least 12 years of college and internship should get a pay deduction, while the guy that was a high school drop out and works construction gets a pay increase.

    Lets see your best attempt!

    1) End government interference in our lives. The minimum wage, social security, medicare---all these things weaken the moral fiber of our people and make them into dependent serfs. If you want money in your retirement, work for it, save, and invest. Otherwise you don't deserve it. If you can't afford medical care, maybe it's a good thing that your line will be eliminated from the gene pool.

    2) Ban abortions and sodomy (aka gay sex).

    3) Stop letting the Muslims push us around. Bush's mistake was that he didn't use nuclear weapons on them. We could have wiped up Bin Laden and all his supporters in one afternoon with just 10 or 15 nuclear warheads. Why not use our strategic advantage.

    4) End all these entitlement programs: Social Security, Medicare, Medicade, Medicare. Fire 90% of government workers. Eliminate the Post Office, the Department of Education, Environmental Protection (just a ploy for government control under a fiction of "global warming"), and a whole host of other useless governmental junk. Aside from maintaining a strong military there's little need for government.

    5) Recognize firmly that this is a Christian nation. It always has been and it always should be. It's OK if Jews, Hindus, Buddhists and other responsible religions exist here, as long as they follow the rules. For Muslims, I'm on the fence about whether we should allow them to live here. I guess we should as long as they follow all our laws and renounce Sharia Law. But our goal should be a 100% Christian nation (of course by voluntary choice).

Do you really think that a significant number of people with whom you disagree actually believe what you just wrote? If so, you're not prepared to engage in a serious debate. You have a cartoonish view of those on the other end of the political spectrum.

Many of the disagreements come from the viewpoints on the other side. It's the old saw that people on the Left think those on the Right don't have a heart and those on the Right don't think those on the Left have a brain.

The problem is how those viewpoints manifest themselves. On the right, I become frustrated because it's evident that policies on the Left simply don't achieve their stated goals. The answer isn't to try more of them, it's to take a different course. The lack of policy efficacy is what converted me from someone left of center to right of center.

On the Left, however, it's much darker. They view people like me as evil. And because I'm evil, it frees them from being civil and logical, because they're MORALLY superior.

I don't wish for people to starve, not be clothed, sheltered or educated. I want them to have health care and a good shot at living the American dream. However, the policies proscribed by the Left just don't work in the long term. The solution seems to be to try something different.

The problems are manifold, but can be boiled down to BIG. Big mostly evolves into bad. Big Business, Big Government. Big Labor. Etc. To reduce income inequality without violating the Constitution and civil rights the U.S. would need to do a lot that is different than they do now. Pretty much whatever is law and policy now, do the opposite or go in the other direction.:

    1) Secure the borders, reform the immigration system and lower overall immigration levels, require employers to verify the legal right to work of employees. Purpose is to reduce the competition for jobs. Making labor more valuable.

    2) Increase Tariffs on imported goods. (Legal in the Constitution!) Increased inspections and regulations of imported goods to match levels of inspections and regulations of goods produced in U.S. to eliminate unfair advantage certain imported goods have in these areas. Purpose is to reduce competition for U.S. produced goods and prevent flooding the U.S. with imports.

    3) Big Government: it favors big business over small business and entrenched over startup and big money over no money. Make government smaller, reduce overall regulation levels, focus especially on the overly complicated rules favoring the well connected.

    4) Legal Reform: the civil court system has been neglected, but is important for "blind" justice. Without a quality justice system the powerful (and rich) maintain a significant advantage in the legal system, which over time boils down to keeping and/or grabbing more money.

    5) Big Labor: A quality labor movement is important for bargaining with powerful and rich business interests. Unfortunately during the New Deal Era Labor laws entrenched a horrible system that is unbalanced, encourages graft and corruption and too big Labor groups that are much more interested in national politics of the Leftist variety and feathering their own nests, than in the long-term welfare of their members. Big Labor needs to be reformed into small labor.

    6) Restrictions on mobility: many roadblocks prevent the poor and middle class from moving up: licensing rules, regulations, tenure and such. This should be reduced or eliminated so there are more paths available for advancement.

    7) Corporations and Financing: Corporations are creatures of the state. The current organizing laws and tax laws mostly favor large corporations over smaller ones and startups. Reform corporate laws and taxation so that is no longer the case.

    8) Monopolies: most monopolies maintain their status through government rules of various sorts. Root out the causes of monopoly power: abuse of patent system, licensing rules, regulations, etc.

    9) Money: The activities of the Federal Reserve favor the wealthy. The boom/bust cycles, massive money rotations, shady exotic financial instruments that would be fraud under a common law court, fractional reserve banking all make it very difficult for those without much money to acquire it and give great opportunities for those sharp folks with money to enjoy huge financial windfalls.

    1) Make healthcare affordable to everyone, Obamacare or something else needs to put the astronomical costs in check. Breaking your arm should not make you bankrupt. You should also not have to be a surf of a corporation to keep your family insured. I believe this actually stifles entrepreneurship in our country as people are less likely to take the risk of starting a business for fear of not having health insurance for their family. Personally I believe health care and prisons are the only area of the economy that should be socialized as their importance to everyone is easily taken advantage of, but I am open to any idea that go beyond “kill obamacare!”

    2) Make college affordable again. Saddled with college debt, young people again become surfs to their corporations or they end up with a “house payment” worth of debt and no real job prospects. The guaranteed debt by the government to the Universities is the main culprit, it creates the same type of bubble that the housing crisis had.

    3) Limiting unemployment benefits, 2 years is too long and promotes “vacations”. However some people genuinely need the help so I’m not going to set a date on what it should be at the moment, but in general it should be 6 months max.

    4) Welfare, drug test and limit benefits to essentials. Some people will always take advantage of the system, just limit it as much as possible write off the rest and move on.

    5) Limit campaign contributions and/or make them transparent. Know who’s pocket your politician is really in. Main goal of this is to limit corporation control of our government.

    6) Add a $0.10 tax on every transaction that occurs on the stockmarket. This would be barely noticeable to me and you, but it would put in check the computer algorithm based trading that conducts millions and billions of mindless trades every day.

    7) Immigration, make them pay taxes. The biggest complaint I hear is that they are a drain on the system, so make them pay into the system which will make the eligible for limited citizen benefits. The usually do socially necessary jobs that we don’t want to do anyway.

    8) Tax reform, cut all the freakin loopholes. Personally I would like to go to a completely sales taxed based system and eliminate income tax and the mountain of deductions and write offs. Seems to be the easiest way I can think of to be an equal system.

    9) Stop socializing corporate and wall street losses.

    10) Break up “to big to fail” corporations.

    11) Stop the war on drugs and treat these as social problems not criminal problems.

    12) End public sector unions.

Remember, Robin Hood didn’t steal from rich citizens and give to the poor. Robin Hood reclaimed the people’s wealth from the government that had over-taxed them and gave the people their money back. The people were poor because Prince John had sent out his tax collectors to take the people’s money from them.

Robin Hood wasn't anti-rich people; he was anti-big-government.

Good enough for government work! har har har

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_Hood

Although not part of his original character, since the beginning of the 19th century[1] he has become known for "robbing from the rich and giving to the poor",[2] assisted by a group of fellow outlaws known as his "Merry Men".[3]
