LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - John Maine hopes to continue his successaway from home Tuesday when he takes the mound for the New YorkMets against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Maine (6-3, 2.78 ERA) has enjoyed pitching away from SheaStadium, going 5-0 with a 1.85 ERA while holding the opposition<div class="pre">to a .164 batting average in starts. The righthander has allowed</div>three or fewer runs in nine of 12 starts overall.

On Thursday, Maine was not involved in the decision againstPhiladelphia after he yielded two runs and six hits over seveninnings.

Maine lost his only career start against the Dodgers.The Mets have lost seven of their last eight games and are just2-8 in June. New York went 19-9 in May.

Hong-Chih Kuo (0-1, 4.85) gets the call for the Dodgers. Thelefthander is 0-1 in two starts, having allowed three runs in 102/3 innings. He also has made a pair of relief appearances.

Luis Gonzalez doubled twice and also scored a pair of runs tolead the Dodgers to a 5-3 win in the opener of this three-gameseries Monday.
