Brett Brown is a serious candidate for the Denver Nuggets' head coaching vacancy, according to sources. Brown met with Josh Kroenke and new general manager Tim Connelly in Denver on Sunday. Brown has been an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs for seven seasons. Brown is expected to become Gregg Popovich's top assistant if he stays with the Spurs following the departure of Mike Budenholzer. Melvin Hunt has also interviewed for the position following meetings with Lionel Hollins, Brian Shaw and Vinny Del Negro.
