Kobe won championships as #8 and as #24. Do you think the Lakers will retire both numbers after retires?

Most players worthy of number retirement do not change numbers while on the same team. Can only think of Jordan and 45 for the Bulls. Do not think 45 was retired.

He didn't win a title as #45. Just played half a season and changed back to #23 mid-playoffs. Kobe has won championships with both.

He was also accused of rape in one and changed numbers to rebuild his image. Not for sure they retire both since grandfathers will forever have to tell why there are two Kobe numbers retired.

Kobe Bryant's ego needs two numbers to be retired. That's why he made the change.

At first I thought "no, theres no chance" but it would be very odd to see another Laker wearing 8 or 24 some day

How many titles did Kobe win as an anal-rapist and how many before?

Probably should be noted in the record books.

Is there a reason MJ took 45 after wearing it in baseball? Happened before I was into bball. Still odd seeing him wear that #.

45 was the number his older brother wore. he wore 23 in the first place because it was about 1/2 of 45.

Everyone please rep me for my useless trivia

    Wayne Gretzky maybe?

EDIT: No, but he had his #99 retired by the Oilers and Kings. Pretty sure he wore #9 for most of his time with the Oilers though.

I think he has always been 99. he wanted 9 for his hero, Gordie Howe, but it was already taken

More useless trivia for all of you.

Seriously, in the future a post as offensive as this should be a bannable offense. I'd like to see a vote on this and if passed I'd like to see it added to the forum bylaws and rules of conduct.

    Thanks.

HCP admitted yesterday that he has dreams where he's wearing Kobe's jersey.

He didn't. He was 99 from Day One as an Oiler.
