Darin Ruf has a knack for getting on base. Ruf extended his streak to 33 consecutive games reaching base -- the longest active streak in the majors and the most for a Phillies player since Chase Utley's 33-game streak from September 2008 to April 2009. He homered and doubled in Philadelphia's 9-8 win over the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night. "It's pretty impressive," Phillies starter Kyle Kendrick (10-8) said. "I like him as a player, he's good. ... It's nice to have him in our lineup, that's for sure. I hope he keeps it going." Ruf extended his on-base streak to 33 straight games with an RBI double in the third to cut the Cubs' lead to 5-4.
