Former Nets and Mavericks coach Avery Johnson is rejoining ESPN as a studio analyst, the company said Wednesday.

Johnson was most recently Brooklyn's coach but was let go 28 games into last season. His greatest coaching success came with the Mavs in 2004-08. Dallas won 60 games twice and went to the Finals in 2006, losing to the Heat in six games.

Between those coaching stints, Johnson was an ESPN studio analyst in 2008-10.
