The Blazers don't have many nationally televised games this year. When I checked today, I thought it was pretty ridiculous that tonights matchup with OKC isn't being televised nationally. I know in the past, ESPN has changed schedules around if a team or a player has been surprisingly good. I wonder if they'll do that this year if the Blazers keep winning. It would be nice if a national audience could see us play for once. I have a feeling a bunch of people that are discrediting the Blazers haven't even seen them play once.
Doubtful, and I agree it sucks. Overall the coverage of the NBA is very disappointing, without NBALP you're shit outta luck and stuck with NFL Live 45.0
Yep, ESPN is just the NFL channel this time of year. It will turn into the Lebron channel after the Super Bowl.
Let's be honest for a second. If you live in New York or Los Angeles (or any other large market) do you think those people really want to watch Indiana and Portland or OKC? Unless you are a diehard hoops junkie then the answer is almost definitely not.
They've already added a couple NBATV games that weren't there before. And yes ESPN will add us if we continue on this pace they usually don't change up games like that till February or March.

I went to meet Damian Lillard in Times Square and there was a long line around the block to meet him. Nowadays, NYers may be more interested in the Blazers than the Knicks or Nets. Also there's more to this country than NY and LA. It really depends on what we do in playoffs. If we win the title, we'll be on TV a lot next season. The only other time they put us on TV a lot was on what was supposed to be Oden's rookie year.
The same can be said for people who don't live in NYC or LA, if they are honest and don't let the media dictate what they should watch. So it goes both ways.
Yes, and the precedence had to be set somewhere. We don't HAVE to care about NYC teams or LA teams, is all I'm saying. Some just choose not to think for themselves.

If ESPN could, they would put a Jaguar/Buccaneer game on a Wednesday night, and it would blow away every NBA game they could put in that slot minus Heat-Lakers, and that may even be a stretch. The NFL is king year-round. Most of the sports' public, excluding the die-hards like those who post on here, don't start paying attention to the NBA until the playoffs start.
I firmly believe that the only real reason football is popular is it's once a week. That's it. That sport is so atrocious otherwise. I still haven't voluntarily watched a game in almost 3 years. I think soon it will lose it's luster, and I can't wait. Goddell is doing a damn good job of fucking up that sport subtly. It'll be fun to watch it fall.
The NFL has Thursday Night football, Monday Night football, Sunday football, and starting in two weeks, Saturday night football. Every one of those games clobbers all but the very top-notch NBA regular season game.
It's still one team a week, technically, for "the fan" Though, to be fair, I don't take the NFL casual fan to be a fan of sports, anyway. But that's just me. So there's that.
