Rumor of Celtics being interested in Sergio. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/rumor-...panish-point-guard-sergio-214100474--nba.html
Denny, all seriousness here, I thought CHI was looking at bringing him in now that Rose was out, and b/c his buddy/teammate Mirotic was coming next year?
Hinrich is the PG now. He'll struggle to keep his PER over 10. He also dribbles the ball a lot. Teams go right at him, because he's no longer quick enough to stay in front of the good/young PGs, and he gets schooled worse against SGs. The backup is 38 year old Mike James. He couldn't last 10 minutes of PT without getting hurt. Marquis Teague is only 20, and has gotten like 10 minutes in a few games since Rose got hurt. Thibs clearly wants no part of him or developing him. He lost the backup job to James and was headed to D League but called back when James got hurt. Hinrich hasn't been able to play for long stretches of games the past few seasons. It's only a matter of time before Teague or James is the starter. They may be scouring the scrap heap for a PG with a pulse. Sergio might be a decent option, but I bet he has trouble keeping his PER over 10, too. I was incensed when the Bulls showed no interest in retaining Nate Robinson. He is an outright scorer who also makes 40%+ from three! and he'd be playing 40+ minutes for us for the rest of the season, if able.
Sergio's revenge! Bidding war! Any chance McMillan gets him? "Indiana wants me Lord I can't go back there"
