as announced attendance. More than a 1000 away from a sellout. Are you kidding me? This team is worth the $! Go to the games, people!
That's more because of the economy than anything. Student allocation of Civil War tickets didn't sell out either.
I'd go, but I am flat broke. If someone wanted to pay a poor ass student to go to the game, I'm all ears. lol.
Umm, not too sure how the Ducks do it, but student tickets at OSU are free as its part of tuition fees. If its the same at UofO then its not the economy. I dumped my Blazers season tickets a couple years ago and have been happy since. They are way too expensive. I have season tickets at Clink for the Hawks 3 rows off the field that are not much more per game than 200 level behind the hoop tix.
You want answers? You want answers? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH! Just before he toed the line, the chants started, bubbling first in the rafters and eventually spreading down and throughout an amped-up Moda Center. “M-V-P! M-V-P! M-V-P!” - Joe Freeman It's not a coincidence why the Rose Garden isn't rocking as much as it could be. Look no further than where the MVP chants start. The most passionate fans can't afford to go to the game anymore, or simply chose not to pay that much to see a game with a perfectly functional giant HDTV and DVR. I know I was spamming MVP early in the 3rd quarter of the OKC game thread, and was screaming it in the house with the fam. If only I had been at the game... yikes. People would have hated me and then loved me all in the span of a half. But I'm not paying the BS pricing racket they've got going and I don't blame other fans for not paying it either. When Allen wants the Rose Garden PACKED, he'll drop the price.
The gap between the wealthiest and poorest has never been greater in the US, as well as the stagnation of the minimum wage. This is a product of our current system (whatever you wish to call it), and the opposite of socialism. I don't care to turn this in to a political debate, but it's just the facts.
...I definitely helped the front row (A) of the 211 section start in with the M-V-P chants as well, but most all game chants definitely begin echoing in from the "cheap seats"!
Tisk tisk. And here I thought you were a simple undercover team Marketing Executive, here to defend Aldridge against Blue and me.
Notice that 5 teams are over 100%? They give out a false arena capacity, then regularly exceed it. Our percentage looks low, despite our ranking 7th in actual attendance, because we should be lying about our capacity, too.
I was in section 225, and I tried a bunch of times to get the MVP chants goin! It was gresat when they finally did, and I know LA heard them when he was at the line!
