CBS Sports nightly grades has gives the Blazers an A and the Thunder a D+. It is in the comments on the Thunder where the Blazer diss comes.

Here are the comments on the Blazers:
Nothing bad but not really giving any recognition as a good team either.

    Comments on the Thunder:
Thunder are on the second of a back-to-back. The only reason the Blazers won is they wanted it "far more badly"?

In essence, the Blazers didn't win, the Thunder lost. No credit to the Blazers whatsoever.

That's ok. Another reason for PDX to keep that chip on their shoulder.

Paging Mediocre Man's "calling out fans as hypocrites for liking certain things journalists say more than others" schtick... *yawn*

On the other hand, didn't we have Tuesday off?

I guess I would have thought that at this point, the Blazers should be getting some respect but the respect seems to all be going to the Thunder in spite of the fact that they lost.

Agreed; they are media darlings, and get the attendant treatment.

It was pretty apparent when the calls where so heavily in favor of the Thunder last night. I loved how we still won, even though we played 5 on 8

Maybe I'm becoming a realist, but I thought we got a few great non-calls going our way near the end. They didn't call Batum being draped all over Durant nearly as often as they could have, and when Westbrook fell over, there was no foul. It doesn't totally balance things out, but I think it helped out enough for us to seal the deal.

I posted it on the game thread that I believed the calls were even on the second half, but the damage could have been staggering if the cluster fuck they thought was officiating during that OKC run late in the first cost us the game.

That's why I said "I'm glad they beat them 5-8" because there aren't too many teams that can overcome shit officiating like that

You're right, B.C., when Westbrook fell over, there was no foul.

That was a great win against a very good team. Boo-hoo they'd played the night before. The Blazers never do that.

According to CBS Sports guy, the Thunder are so good they should have sleep walked a win on the road againsts the team with the best record in the league. And it's infuriating. LOL

If the refs eased up in the second half, then it wasn't really 5 on 8. Batum was definitely getting close to second base with Durant.

And first half vs. second half?

And no, it wasn't because we were shooting more threes. Aldridge and Lillard were getting hammered down low and no call, while you breathed on an okc player as they shot jumpers and I was a foul.

No review of the 3 by mo, the foul on Matthews standing still and westbrick jumping into him? How about the blatant touch fouls in the first?

Like I said, the jobbing was in the first half and many teams couldn't overcome the shit officiating like that. The second half was called fair, as I said already. The first half was a joke.

I see some headway with the officials. Like the Indiana game I was worried with the calls early. But they seemed to even out once the Fans, Stotts, and players started to become incensed. Reminded me of the old SLC days.

Unfortunately you have to complain. Players like Durant and CP3 , and coaches like Pop and Doc have learned that. Stotts, with a year under his belt, is much better this year. He needs to work the refs early so he gets some love late.

That is what Cp3 does all game. Always talking to the refs during the timeouts until he gets his way on some calls. I hate the game they play, but it seems to be a necessity.

So, are the Thunder now 13-3-1?

Wins-Losses and Games they probably should've won

There are basically 5 teams in the league that have much better records than the rest, one of which is the Blazers. How are we doing against the other 4?
    3-0

    'nuff said.

The Thunder were on a second of a back to back, but the Blazers were on their third game in four nights, which I think is equally as difficult.

The irony in CBS Sports guys take is that it is the Blazers who were trying to give the game away, missing way too many open threes early, knocking each other off rebounds, and giving OKC a bundle of easy second chance putbacks. The Blazers came from behind, made plays, and earned the win against a good team. For CBS Sports guy to infer otherwise shows he either didn't see the game (likely) or lives in Oklahoma.
