Was trying to find another thread to put this in, but I wanted to share it regardless. From: Taylor Danforth Twitter That's quite perplexing.
Well, it's certainly not on him that we lost this one. If anything it's indicative of the fact that Lillard steps up when our team is playing like complete shit, but more often than not he can't carry us to a win. During that first half when nobody could hit, he and RoLo were the only guys who were scoring. If Wes or Nic had actually scored in the first half, I think this game would have been different.
A horrible shooting night and we still stayed in it. Nothing too bad. A bounce back game Monday to start the trip.
So you're saying that it's Damian's fault that the guys he threw the ball to bricked their shots tonight?
Trail Blazers PR @TrailBlazersPR Damian Lillard is now 6-for-7 from 3-point range this season in the last five minutes of games within three points.
Actually, he was even worse last season - 3 of 10: http://bkref.com/tiny/r8D3W (I added the additional parameters to match the tweet). Looks like Lillard leveled up on the Clutch skill tree over the summer.
Thank you for constantly correcting everyone, Eric. I think I speak for everyone when I say people love those kind of people
His assist average is, what, in wins? See below for solution method. I missed the under 3 points part. To examine assists when < 5 minutes in the 4th or OT, when the scores are within 3 points, in wins for us, the best I can do is to list every assist. http://www.basketball-reference.com...opp_id=&quarter=&time_remain_quarter=&margin= If you click Time a couple of times, then Quarter a couple of times, it will get into the perfect order. He only had 3 such assists all last year, win or lose. With such a small sample, I didn't check which team won. The database doesn't work for the current season.
