I know Brook was an All Star, but Robin has 10 double doubles this season. Brook has none. Who is better?

They are better at different things. Robin is the perfect big man for a contender. He does all the little things. He makes everyone around him better. Brooke is a legit All-Star. Conventionally, 9/10 people would say Brooke is better, BUT I think Robin is better for our team.

Robin is more consistent and has a better body. Brook is like 20 pounds heavier which is why he gets injured so much IMO.

A lot has to do with fit in the system, and health. Lopez has certainly contributed more to team wins at this point. Brooke wouldn't be a better fit in my opinion, and he hasn't been healthy. Robin is a better defender and a better fit next to LA.

I think when it's all said and done, Robin will go down as the better Lopez. I understand why most people outside of Portland would probably say Brook, and he will probably always be the better offensive player. Robin is definitely more valuable to us, and seems to be constantly improving, where as Brook is basically the same player he was his rookie year. Not to mention Robin appears to be far more durable.

Didn't I say a month ago people would be saying robin is the better bro by the end of this season? I love being right, especially when I'm right about blazers being the best.

I think the highest value for robin is how well he is getting along with Aldridge. You can just tell they are perfect for each other. They communicate so well and robin's hustle seems to really infect Aldridge's game to the next game.

He is the ultimate compliment for Aldridge!

I'll take the minority position and say that Brook is the better player. I believe that he could do what Robin does, if it were asked of him. I don't believe that Robin could do what Brook does if it were asked of him.

    Better overall? Probably Brook...

    but...

Better for the Blazers? Robin all the way. The right fit for us.

Brook overall, Robin for what the Blazers needed. I just fucking love watching robin outwork everyone. He's kind of a Noah type. And Robin is a serious leader on the defensive end, telling people where to be throughout the game and yelling at people in practice for missing rotations. A few games ago, mid play, robin grabbed TRob and swung him into defensive position when he was getting frantic. Just a great defensive leader.

20 years from now he will be a top flight coach in the league. Smart as all hell.

Yeah it comes down to team needs. We needs someone in the post to do the dirty work. I have never seen Brook go all out after a loose ball. (Not that I watch a ton of Net's basketball)

Brook does possess very good post moves. But he makes slightly more than LMA. I like what Robin brings to the table more. I will take two Robins over one Brook any day. And salary wise that is what it equates to. (Actually Brook makes 3 time as much)

Right now, Lopez is as good of a fit as any center in the league. Sure I'd like it if he could shoot it just a little better and added a touch of Sabonis with his passing...but for right now, NeO is looking like an early candidate for GMoY.

Agree 100% Brook the better player overall but if blazers had to choose Robin all the way.

It's not really a fair question. I think you could put Brooke Lopez on the Blazers and Robin Lopez on the Nets and the outcome would come on far different from the one we all see. The Blazers have by far the better coaching staff and that's where it all starts.

Brook isn't asked to rebound in Brooklyn? That's odd.
