I really wish you'd stop with the fucking class warfare bullshit.

Matthews is right of course. I wonder if he's MIXUM.

I second that, and I do agree with Matthews too.

At least the team recognizes it. They will get some practice time at home now so they can work on it.

On the whole their defense could be better, but so long as they keep outplaying their opponents 80% of the time I am not too concerned.

You can get away with this (mostly) in the regular season, but come April it becomes a lot harder to hide.

Keep up the good fight man! Something we all need to try and emulate.

Yep. Everyone who (really) watches this team knows the defense is not up to snuff.

I don't blame Matthews for going off a bit.

The best thing we have going is we only have two games in the next 7 days... however, it is the holidays so practice time will most likely be limited.

I really wouldn't mind a guy like Dalembert right now... or Kaman. Someone who can flippin defend on that 2nd unit. We have plenty of scorers on each unit, and Joel has done much better than we could ever ask for... that said, we still need that one guy. That, and a (re?)committment to team defense.

I'd also like to see a more concerted effort coming out of the gate. I love these games we're having and coming back and winning... and they are great for when we do have a regression to the mean and give ourselves a bit of a cushion. However, it can and will be taxing.

There are definetly some holes that need to be filled. I'm not worried.

Also, it's much easier to have a discussion with a person who actually watches the games, and not just a sky is falling sort.

Bringing a guy like Dalembert would move freeland to his natural position of PF. Our bench defense would get an immediate boost. Then if CJ can come back and contribute, our bench would actually be pretty stacked.

Exactly. I feel bad for TRob, but we need that low post man bad. I have a really good feeling that Olshey is going to plug that hole, it's just unfortunate it's going to bump someone off the rotation.

Also, Wright needs to find his consistency to really make that 2nd unit flow, or else Mo is going to be our main offense and we're going to have to play even better defense.

I think what a lot of people tend to forget is that this is still a work in progress.

Whatever magic has happened this year, and may continue to happen, this is not a finished product. Adding Williams, Wright and Watson as free agents, and trading for T-Rob doesn't shout to the world you are fixing your defense.

What it does do, is shout to the world that you told the owner we would not have as bad of a bench as last year.

MM... Olshey could have signed us as free agents and the bench would be better.

    ... Damnit, OLSHEY CALL ME!

And all of those signings are easily tradable (low contracts and variety of youth and vets). It's pretty obvious our starting 5 is set. Our bench could use a legit 6th man. CJ could be that guy, but he's still a little young.

I think our reality must have us try for a player like Brass or dalembert. Someone that can give us a very solid 10-15 minutes a game.

I am pretty confident this team has a rough ending to December. Minny exposed a lot about us last night. In fact I read somewhere minny scouted out three previous games. They basically showed the league how to destroy us. With the solid teams on tap.... It's gonna get ugly. Minny is the worst team we will face till January that's the scary part.

This roster seems to have been assembled to make a splash in 2016. I wonder if they would compromise that to have a better chace win a playoff round

I don't agree with that. And if so, we game planned well (except for 2 minutes at the end of the 3rd) to counter it. They (Minny) got all the points in the paint they wanted in the first half... however, in the 2nd half, they only got 15.

It'll be tougher, yes... but teams are still going to have to bring their best. Even their own fans (Minny fans) say they played perfection basketball in the first half. I'm still not worried, but I can understand why others may be.
