English Premier League's Tottenham Hotspur to take on Seattle Sounders, Chicago Fire in 2014

Tottenham Hotspur are coming back to America.

The English Premier League club will suit up against the Seattle Sounders and Chicago Fire in July 2014, the clubs announced on Monday, giving Stateside fans the third look in five years at one of the top teams in England.

Tottenham will take on Seattle on July 19 at CenturyLink Field and then the Fire at Toyota Park on July 26.

Spurs currently sit seventh in the Barclays Premier League, level with Manchester United and three points off fourth position, with just one loss in the past seven league outings. After finishing fifth in the league table last season, Spurs qualified for the UEFA Europa League, winning its group with a perfect record to advance to the Round of 32.

    With Brazil 2014 approaching,
January camp offers up taste of what's to come for USMNT

Looking ahead to Saturday night’s US national team friendly against South Korea (5 pm ET, ESPN2/UniMas) it’s hard to draw a greater contrast than to go back four years to the first game on the calendar the last time the USMNT began a World Cup year.

While the game between the US and Honduras was played in the same venue (then known as the Home Depot Center, now known as StubHub Center), that’s where the similarities pretty much end. For starters, on Saturday night, the seats will be filled.

CARSON, Calif. – Chris Wondolowski made his case for a role in Brazil on Saturday, scoring both goals as the US national team wrapped up its annual January camp with a 2-0 decision over Korea Republic at sold-out StubHub Center.
