Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray was given a parting gift by the NFL for a hit in the team's season-ending loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Murray was fined $21,000 for leading with the crown of his helmet on Eagles defensive end Damion Square on a 10-yard catch Sunday. Murray was not penalized in the game, but that type of play had been a point of emphasis this season.

The Cowboys had eight players fined this season.
