The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the signing of import offensive lineman D'Anthony Batiste. A four-year letterman at Louisiana-Lafayette (2000-04), Batiste was a second-team All-Sun Belt selection his senior season. Following college, he played one season with the AFL2's Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings and spent time with several NFL teams, most recently the Pittsburgh Steelers. During his NFL career, he played in 37 games and made 14 starts. Batiste briefly signed with the Eskimos in 2006.
