The Portland Thunder have been assigned linebacker/fullback Wesley Mauia and defensive end Ayo Idowu.
"These two guys can really get after it," said Head Coach Matthew Sauk. "They're a couple of guys whose motors are always running on high and don't quit until the play's over, and we're excited to see what they can do in camp."

Mauia (6-2, 275) has two years of experience at the AFL level, having played 2012 with the San Antonio Talons and 2013 with the San Jose Sabercats. As a rookie in 2012 with the Talons, Mauia recorded 16 tackles and 4.5 sacks.

Idowu (6-3, 265) finished his senior season at the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) with 52 tackles, including 16 for a loss and five sacks.

The Portland Thunder will kick off its inaugural season at the Moda Center on Monday, March 17th when they take on the San Jose SaberCats. Season tickets are available for purchase starting as low as $99 by calling 503-773-4AFL or by visiting www.portlandthunder.com.
