    The UFC's been negotiating with Gilbert Melendez since his victory over Diego Sanchez at UFC 166. Melendez is represented by Rodolphe Beaulieu who also represents Georges St-Pierre who is becoming public enemy #1 at Zuffa headquarters. Dana White recently lashed out at Beaulieu saying "being GSP's best friend doesn't make you a good manager." White refuses to negotiate any further with Beaulieu and has recommended that Melendez and Lorenzo Fertitta work out the deal together.

    Gil's manager tested his free agent status and come up big with an offer from Bellator. No wonder DFW is being a prick.

    Melendez is a top-3 lightweight. Letting him walk is dumb. Fair play to Bellator.

    So frustrating how the UFC has handled Melendez ever since they acquired Strikeforce. Seems like we're destined to see Melendez crushing cans in second tier MMA organizations again. Such a shame.

    DFW has been in SUPER DOUCHE mode lately and its gonna cost him probably the 2nd most exciting LW in the division.

    The UFC has reportedly matched Melendez's offer sheet and the lightweight will be one of the highest paid MMA fighters as a result.

    This is good for all involved.

    I don't know if it was part of the contract but Melendez will be coaching the next season of TUF against Anthony Pettis, presumably setting up a match between them. It will be the strawweight tournament. Scrap Pack vs. Roufusport sounds entertaining.

    The question now is who is Jose Aldo going to fight? Is he still going to move up to lightweight?
