One of America’s most accomplished thespians, Kevin Costner is a multi-award winning actor, director, producer, musician, and baseball fan. While he had a bit of a shaky time in the mid-90s with the double whammy of sci-fi flops Waterworld and The Postman, Costner’s career soon bounced back, and as a result he’s got one of the most impressive resumes of any actor in the past 30 years or so.

With his new action thriller 3 Days to Kill hitting theaters this week and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit already out, we thought it was about time we break down Costner’s 15 best movies.

I've never found Costner compelling in any movie I've seen him in. I just don't get why he was an A-list actor for so long.

Maybe it was Robin Hood that ruined him for me. His accent is just so painful.

He had a nice little run there between 1987 and 1992. I am turned off with Dances with Wolves though. My little brother watched that movie 4 times a day, nearly every day for 3 straight years (no joke!). He was going through puberty. Might have been the natives that had him restless.

I think it was Thirteen Days, but Costners Boston accent was painful to listen to. Like, I'd rather watch Celine Deon sing for 3 days painful

I'm trying to remember whether or not I've seen Wyatt Earp. I know I've seen Tombstone. Have I seen Wyatt Earp? I don't know.

I agree with Mook. Good, but not great actor. A few decent films.

Probably not worthy of being on the list, but I am a fan of 3000 Miles to Graceland. Many of these movies I have never seen though.

Tombstone and Untouchables at the top. Followed by Field of Dreams, Tin Cup, and Bull Durham. Most of his movies I don't care about one way or another; although Waterworld, Wyatt Earp, his accent in JFK (or thirteen days?), and that stupid movie about him throwing a perfect game were exceptionally bad. I do want to see that Jack Ryan movie that he's in.

The Bodyguard is 15th, but Man of Steel is ranked 8th? He was barely even in that movie.

Costner wasn't in the movie Tombstone. He starred in Wyatt Earp.

Tombstone is a kick ass western with downright hilarious quotes, while Wyatt Earp is easily forgettable.

Oh yeah, kurt russell, my bad.

That leaves Untouchables as his only movie that I really loved.

If Wyatt Earp wasn't 4 hrs long it would have been considered a better movie.
